Instead of cracking open a cold one from the mini bar, hotel guests in Antwerp could try out a cool new style at Mini Fashion Bar, the latest innovation from Pimkie. The French clothing brand has swapped snacks and drinks for its latest collection, with a mini bar for fashion. Guests can borrow any items they like, and pay for their usage when they check out.

Guests can browse the menu and contact the concierge to order items in their size. By scanning the menu’s QR code, you can access Pimkie’s entire collection.
The bar recently debuted at Hotel Banks in Antwerp, and is soon set to launch in boutique hotels in cities across Europe, including Barcelona, Berlin, Milan, Paris and London. The concept was created in collaboration with Happiness, a digital advertising agency.

It could be that you need to dress up for a night on the town, and have only bought jeans and t-shirts. Or you may go on a bike ride around the city but don’t fancy going in your work wear.

The Mini Fashion Bar caters to these situations and saves you from having to search the shops for alternative items. It includes must-have staples, such as a raincoat and comfortable shoes for long walks, which your feet will thank you for if you didn’t have space to pack your own.
As well as providing solutions to style dilemmas, the fashion minibar invites guests to try out items from Pimkie without having to visit the brand’s shop or website. This is a clever way for the brand to create a new touchpoint with consumers, turning their hotel room into a fashion library and shop window all in one.

The QR code on the menu also encourages guests to connect with the brand online, to discover more items in their collection.
The Mini Fashion Bar offers physical and digital channels for consumers to engage with the brand, as well as something fun for travellers to try out. We expect to see other brands follow Pimkie’s lead, turning hotel rooms into spaces for people to sample and rent their products.
